Welcome to AMA Studio!

As Allan Murray Architects, our practice helped shape contemporary Edinburgh through several major city-centre developments. We became an employee-owned practice in 2020, so it is important to us that our brand reflects the more collaborative way of working which has developed over the past year.

That is why we are now known as AMA Studio. Everyone has positively embraced the idea of the EOT and continues to rise to the challenge, so it seems only fitting that we change our name to recognise this new culture.

Since our formation in 1994, we have overseen high profile and award-winning projects including the St James Quarter, New Waverley and the new Boroughmuir High School. While the core of our business will always be in Edinburgh, we believe the timing is right for the practice to evolve, as we set our sights further afield from Scotland’s capital and the city-centre, mixed-use developments we have carved a reputation for. We hope to be able to post news about some of these schemes very soon.
